Synopsis (click to read more)
Sophie does it all — she’s a stunt performer, a trick rider, and a horse trainer in Vancouver BC. Horses are expensive and she’s happy to work all the time to keep them, but at age 40 she thinks she’s ready to try this relationship thing again. Jet couldn’t be more different from her ex-husband, after all, and they’re both adults, so who cares?…
Jet Williams is a former child star relegated to minor film roles until he moves to Vancouver and gets everything at once — starring roles, a home of his own, and a budding romance with Sophie Groom, who he met again at the premiere of his best friend’s blockbuster movie. He’s had a crush on her since he was a teen and now it turns out she’s just as amazing as he always thought.
But age, circumstances, goals, and stardom might come between them before they really get started.

Synopsis (click to read more)
Simon Jeffries met Josefina Rutherford in first grade when she stole his Halloween candy — at least that’s how he remembers it. Nobody disputes that he escalated the candy war that Christmas with a fiendish plot involving a hollow chocolate Santa, soapy dishwater, and a Sharpie. Twenty-some years later he’s moving back to their hometown, about to unknowingly deliver the final blow in a lifelong battle….
They’d done some horrible things to each other over the years, she can admit that, but this is far worse than even the dirtiest tricks they came up with in university. The connection they forged through rivalry still exists, though, and even blossoms as they meet again.
It all comes to a head on Halloween, when Josie lets a freezing Simon into her home and the world gets a bit more interesting.
